This was first visit with them and I plan on coming back! I had such a great time! The staff is friendly and helpful! They have a busy schedule with lots of fun rides so they have something for everyone! I had such a great time I decided to chase the train for their 1pm trip! I highly recommend them!

The Northern Central Railway is a great place to take the family for a ride on a historic train. We participated in the STEAM Ahead Summer Camp and a free train ride was included for the family. It was a great experience all around! They also have many fun themed train rides throughout the year. There is more fun to be had while you’re in the area too. The rail trail runs right along these tracks and we explored it the day before.

Such an amazing experience! The staff was so accommodating kind & caring especially with my Dad in a wheelchair! Vicky called the day before to explain the game plan, which executed perfectly! The ride was fun & entertaining!! Would definitely recommend!!! Thank you for making this a memorable outing!!

The staff were easy going and fun to hang out with. The lunch was great. I loved being able to move around and experience the various cars. The bathrooms were clean. The scenery was lovely. We took 3 of my children with their young families and it was a great way for them to be together. The grownups had time to visit and relax. I look forward to going again sometime!

Traveled in the Overland Trail Pullman car for the Howard Tunnel Special. This is the 1949 lounge car, with the bar and plush seating. A trip back in time as well as down the tracks, through scenic central PA farm and forest land, small towns. Well worth the price, which included a box lunch. The staff were attentive and welcoming. Trip narration hit the right tone and level, informative without being overwhelming or intrusive. I highly recommend this if you are in the area, or even as a good reason in itself to travel to York County.
