Summer Speaker Series: Early History of Gettysburg Roads, Farms & Families by Ken Rich

Ken Rich will discuss the early history of Gettysburg, Roads, Farms, Families.   He will discuss the people that built the first roads and why they were built.  The pioneers who built the first farms and who were the first families that settled in the valley that we now know as the town of Gettysburg.

Ken Rich is a retired logistics and transportation manager.  As an amateur historian, Ken is known for his historic walking tours in Gettysburg.  He has presented several programs at the Heritage Center and Battlefields, Beyond Book Store and the Rupp House over the past several years. He also narrates historic carriage tours in the town of Gettysburg.  He is currently on the testing list at the NPS to become a License Battlefield Guide.

The Summer Speaker Series will be presented in the gift shop at 2 W. Main Street in New Freedom, PA from 10:30 to 12:00.
