Ticket Policy

The Northern Central Railway reserves the option to substitute motive power and rolling stock as needed.

We reserve the right to change the schedule or cancel excursions. If you wish to transfer a ticket to a different day and time, please contact Northern Central Railway at info@northerncentralrailway.com, 24 hours prior to your excursion. There will be a $2.00 transfer fee per ticket for the change.

Processing Fees- Processing fees apply to all tickets. Fees are the same whether you buy online, by phone, or at walk-up on the day of the trip.

Cancellation Policy- Ticket sales are non-refundable. However, an in-house monetary credit can be held for a future excursion (subject to availability) at the company’s discretion.

If the NCR would cancel an excursion, tickets will be transferred to another date and time at no cost to the customer. Refunds will be given for credit card purchases and groups. Check or cash refunds will be given a gift card for use in the gift shop or for a future ticket.

We reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion.

Passengers under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Thanks for riding with us.

Important:   We are an all-weather operation and encourage passengers to dress for the weather and wear closed-toed shoes. Walk-up seating cannot be guaranteed due to demand. Each year we host many groups, please call or email for information on planning your trip!
Gift Certificates

If you have a gift certificate purchased through NCR, you please contact info@northerncentralrailway.com to apply the gift certificate. You cannot use NCR gift certificates for combination dining excursions including Brunch, Dine & Rides, and Santa Express! If you any questions, please contact info@northerncentralrailway.com.


If you have a voucher to redeem, you must contact info@northerncentralrailway.com. If you do not call ahead, we can not guarantee a seat for you. Blackout dates do apply!

Handicap Accessibility

We are not ADA compliant due to the historic nature of our equipment. However, we try our best to accommodate everyone. Please contact our office with any boarding concerns you have.

Service Animals

In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Northern Central Railway does permit service animals.  All service dogs must have registration tags.


The train runs rain or shine.

Photos are frequently taken at our events. NCR and other participating organizations have the right to use photos from our events for any purpose, including but not limited to use in publications, on social media, in the newsletter, promotional materials, or on our website.
