Refund/Cancellation Policy

All tickets are purchased as non-refundable and non-transferable. However, if a guest is unable to visit us at their reserved time, we will work with them to rebook/exchange their tickets to a different date and time.

Passenger Safety Policy

The windows in our 1800 cars are an accurate reproduction of 1860’s style windows. They open and close but must be latched into position. If they’re not properly latched, they may fall. We do come close to tree branches and rock outcroppings. Please keep hands, arms and head inside windows at all times

Pet Policy

The Northern Central Railway of York falls under regulations from the Federal Government, therefore only service pets are allowed on board Northern Central Railway Trains. For the safety of our guests and crew members, Northern Central Railway reserves the right to deny access to pets that display aggressiveness.

Smoking Policy

Use of tobacco products, including cigarettes, smokeless tobacco, and electronic cigarettes, is NOT permitted on the property or trains of the Northern Central Railway at any time. NCR does offer cigar charters through the year.

Alcohol Policy

Passengers are not permitted to bring alcoholic beverages on the train. Northern Central Railway of York provides beverage service on select excursions, including mixed drinks, wine, beer, soft drinks, and water. All alcoholic beverages must be consumed on the train.  See our schedule for select excursion details.

Weapons Policy

For the safety and comfort of all patrons, the Northern Central Railway maintains a strict policy prohibiting weapons on its trains and property. This includes firearms of any kind and explosives, which encompass items like fireworks or similar devices. Additionally, knives carried with the blade in open view and any other items specifically designed or intended to cause harm to others are also not permitted. This policy aims to create a secure environment for everyone enjoying the railway experience.

Harassment Policy

Northern Central Railway of York is committed to providing a welcoming and respectful environment for all passengers. Any form of harassment or offensive behavior will not be tolerated. Passengers who experience or witness harassment are encouraged to immediately report it to our staff so that appropriate action can be taken.
